回复 :哈瓦那（帕特丽夏·阿奎特 Patricia Arquette 饰）和彼得（泰特·多诺万 Tate Donovan 饰） 是一对感情非常要好的恋人，两人在抢劫了一间游乐场后逃回了故乡。他们的故乡是一个民风非常古老而又保守的地方，在那里，法律不值一提，居民们生活信奉的唯一准则就是圣经。在那里，哈瓦那和彼得终于实现了他们的心愿携手步入了婚礼的殿堂，可是婚后没多久，一场可怕的车祸便夺走了彼得的弟弟。根据圣经记载，哈瓦那将再度嫁给彼得年仅十二岁的弟弟西科（约瑟夫·高登-莱维特 Joseph Gordon-Levitt 饰）。哈瓦那决定将曾经抢劫而来的那些赃物物归原主，可是贪婪而又暴力的警探却并不愿意归还她平静的生活。
